TERMS OF SERVICE

Last Updated: June 2026

Description of Service

Surcease provides a cryptographic identity and constrained delegation network for AI agents. We issue decentralized identifiers (DIDs) and facilitate the validation of signed agent actions.

Acceptable Use

By using Surcease, you agree not to use the platform for:

  • Deploying agents for illegal, malicious, or destructive activities.
  • Abusing, scraping, or overloading third-party APIs through our infrastructure.
  • Attempting to circumvent, bypass, or reverse-engineer our security controls and visa systems.

Data Security & Ownership

You own your private keys. Surcease never sees, transmits, or stores your private Ed25519 keys. You are solely responsible for securing your keypairs. We own the public key registry. We maintain the infrastructure required to distribute public keys and validate agent visas.

Limitation of Liability

Surcease is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We are not liable for any damages, data loss, or financial consequences resulting from compromised agent keys, unauthorized agent actions, or platform downtime.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts, revoke DIDs, and invalidate visas at any time, without notice, if we determine you have violated these Terms or pose a security risk to the network.

Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
